It is, by its very definition, and non-purposeful, non-directed series of events. To claim that things will not improve or change just because the environment does not create "pressure" is to miss the mechanism altogether. Change WILL occur because it is based upon random mutations, genetic drift, recombination, and sexual reproduction--according to the theory. To say that there has been enough environmental "pressure" to turn a small shrew-like mammal into a MAN in less than 65 million years, yet other complex creatures have not changed observably for over 200 million years is a fantasy and not science. It is a faith system, based only on a just-so story, and not evidence. It is true because it MUST be true is the mantra of the pure naturalist.
